about

Mr Brightside is one of those songs. An irrefutable emotionality. I was about 17 when the song came out. You don't even know what the words mean, but you feel it.

A few years later. I'm 19 and DJing weddings on the weekends. One time they didn't choose a bridal waltz. I asked what they wanted me to play and they said We don't care. I carefully loaded up the CD... hit play...
Coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine...

The bride is very upset. Not exactly a bridal waltz kinda song. Hit stop. Deafening silence. Scramble for the Norah Jones CD... The wedding goes on.
